ACCOMMODATION

   

Camping 
Free camping for riders and friends/family is allowed within the marked grass area near the start/finish area at Mount Airly.

  • Access will be available from 9.00AM on the Saturday.
  • This is private property so please ensure you take all rubbish out with you.
  • If you intend to camp it is suggested that you bring water with you as it is in short supply.
  • Personal headtorches are also highly recommended.

As the start will be earlier this year, you will have time after teh event to set up your tent - so no need to panic.

Hotels/Motels 
Capertee township has very limited accommodation available.
Lithgow (50 kilometres by road from the start/finish) has a vast array of accommodation.
Portland (30 km),  Kandos (60km),  Rylstone (70km) and Mudgee (90km) all offer a range of accommodation.

Please note that an early rise will be necessary on the Sunday morning to be at the start/finish in time for registration 15 minutes prior to start time.

Transport
Capertee township is serviced by road (Castlereagh Highway).
The Mt Airly start/finish location is approximately nine kilometres from Capertee township via the Glen Davis Road.

A train service operates between Central station (Sydney) and Lithgow, with a very limited connecting bus transfer service from Lithgow station to Capertee.

The Capertee Hotel  plus the Capertee Roadhouse serve meals, but please make you rown arrangements to avoid disapointment.
