The 2012 course and events are the same as last year, but with the recent rains, there has been massive growth along the track and everything has changed.

We look forward to seeing you in the Capertee Valley in September -
and safe travelling!

Richard

This is a mountain bike event where you challenge yourself, the elements and the clock over two circuits.

The course is set in the Capertee Valley, 180 kilometres west of Sydney, Australia, in a stunning area comprised of sandstone cliffs and abundant wildlife. There are some easy and some difficult sections on the course.

There are two courses this year - Championship and Social. Both are challenging.

  • Championship Track "C" = distance is 65 km
  • Social Track "S" = distance is 40 km

ON DAY ONE - SATURDAY
The courses will be run in one direction (currently planned to be generally clockwise).

ON DAY TWO - SUNDAY
The next morning the course will be run in reverse, and that is where you can challenge yourself, your time from the day before, and the overall result.

The best time overall (combined times from Saturday and Sunday) will be the winner and have their name and time on the Perpetual Trophy to be held at the Capertee Hotel.

The Capertee Challenge is run for the Paraplegic Benefit Fund of Australia, and involves the Capertee and District Progress Association.

About PBF
Most spinal cord injuries can be prevented. PBF develops and delivers award-winning injury prevention programs - PBFPREVENTION - to help reduce the number of new spinal cord injuries occurring each year.

All these programs are designed to positively influence attitudes to safety, raise awareness of serious injury and provide the knowledge and skills to help prevent it.

Though spinal cord injury is PBF’s main concern, our programs have a broad injury prevention focus.
